Everyone's an expert

Or so it would seem.
Of course the Internet plays host to many "Home Grown" experts whose advice is plastered across the web. Some of which is just blatantly incorrect, invalid or cleverly disguised misinformation (hopefully I won't make a hypocrit of myself and fit myself in that category!!!).
Of course there are many other types of experts, both wanted and unwanted.
It seems that when you have a baby or kids it comes with an invisible sticker (to the wearer) that gets plastered on your forehead that says "We need help and we take advice from anyone and everyone, the stranger you are the better..."
It's quite a weird feeling at first to be wandering down the street and have a complete stranger poke their head in your pram and exclaim some bit of advice. Yet such a scenario has become commonplace.
Many moons ago my parents gave me a good bit of advice....
"Everyone has something to say about parenting. Some will be extremely critical and some will be helpful. But it's always important to remember that if you want to give your own advice you need to be fully aware of the environment in which it's being given." Needless to say, I don't have much of my tongue left after biting it so often. But I find myself wishing that many others would be wary of this.
So what's the best and worst bits of unwanted advice you ever received about parenting?
